PRM Doctor Consultation

A PRM (Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine) doctor is a specialist focused on restoring patients' physical functions after injuries, surgeries, or illnesses. Their goal is to improve a person’s quality of life through rehabilitation methods, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, kinesitherapy, and other non-pharmacological approaches.

They work with patients who have disabilities, neurological, orthopedic, or cardiological disorders. Additionally, a PRM doctor coordinates the work of the rehabilitation team (physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and special education teachers) to achieve the best treatment outcomes.

A consultation is an opportunity to receive professional assistance in diagnosing neurological issues, identifying their causes, and developing an individualized treatment plan. At MCRN, we pay special attention to each patient, creating a comfortable atmosphere for consultation.

When Is a Preventive Consultation with a PRM Doctor Needed?
-After head, spine, or limb injuries;
-In cases of chronic diseases that may affect the nervous system (e.g., diabetes, hypertension);
-Before starting intensive physical activities or sports;
-If there is a genetic predisposition to neurological disorders;

What Symptoms Indicate the Need for a PRM Doctor Visit?
-Back or neck pain, intercostal neuralgia;
-Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet;
-Cramps or limb tremors;
-Memory problems, difficulty concentrating, sleep disorders;
-Emotional instability, anxiety, depression;
-Hyperactivity, decreased activity, apathy;
-Frequent repetitive movements and irritability;
-Poor appetite or selective eating;
-Insomnia or frequent sleep disturbances;
-Poor memory and lack of focus;
-Headaches, tics, fainting episodes;

Why Is It Important to See a PRM Doctor on Time?
-Early diagnosis helps prevent complications and maintain or improve the quality of life;
-Treatment under the supervision of a specialist significantly enhances the effectiveness of rehabilitation;
-Even if symptoms seem minor, a consultation can reveal underlying causes that require attention.

How Does a Consultation Work?
The doctor will carefully listen to you and your child, ask about their well-being and behavior, and conduct a physical examination—checking reflexes, coordination, and responses. If necessary, they may recommend additional tests to get a clearer picture of how to help. The entire consultation takes place in a calm and friendly environment to ensure comfort for both the child and the parents.

Contraindications:
There are no absolute contraindications for a neurology consultation. However, it is important to inform the doctor about any underlying conditions before the visit. If you are currently ill, we recommend postponing the consultation or opting for an online session.

We look forward to seeing you at MCRN?
