An orthopedic doctor specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders in children. Their task is to help your child grow healthily, promptly identify problems with bones, joints, or muscles, and find the best solutions for correction.

An orthopedic consultation is an opportunity to ensure that your child is developing correctly or to receive support in resolving existing issues. At the rehabilitation center, we care for every child, considering their individual needs and development features.

When should you seek an orthopedic consultation at the rehabilitation center?
✔ During the child's rehabilitation course if the neurologist recommends visiting an orthopedic doctor
✔ For preventive or symptomatic reasons

When is a preventive consultation needed?
-Routine check-ups in the first year of life at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months
-Before starting sports activities to ensure the musculoskeletal system is ready
-During periods of rapid growth (5–7 years, adolescence)
-After injuries to assess the condition of the skeleton and muscles

What symptoms indicate the need to consult an orthopedic doctor?
-Birth injuries or skeletal development disorders in the first year of life
-Visible posture issues (scoliosis, kyphosis, slouching)
-Flat feet, foot deformities, or abnormal gait
-Complaints of back, joint, or limb pain
-Injuries: fractures, sprains, or contusions affecting the musculoskeletal system
-Congenital disorders such as hip dysplasia, torticollis, cerebral palsy

Why is it important to consult an orthopedic doctor in a timely manner?
-Early detection of musculoskeletal development disorders and prevention of complications such as scoliosis, gait disorders, or joint pain;
-Supporting the child's condition and alleviating pain associated with diagnoses;
-Improving the child’s quality of life through proper treatment approaches;
-Supporting the healthy and active development of your child;

How does the consultation proceed?
The orthopedic doctor carefully examines the child, assesses posture, gait, joint mobility, and foot condition. If necessary, the doctor may recommend additional tests such as X-rays, joint ultrasound, or lab work to clarify the diagnosis. After the consultation, the doctor develops an individual treatment or prevention plan, which may include therapeutic exercises, massage, orthopedic shoes, or special exercises.

Contraindications:
-Acute infectious diseases (e.g., flu, ARVI)
-Postoperative period (until full healing)
-Severe physical condition of the child
