Consultation on the Project ImPACT Program

Project ImPACT (Improving Parents As Communication Teachers) is a modern, scientifically proven program that helps parents of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), speech delay, or other developmental disabilities become the primary "teachers" for their child. The main goal of the program is to improve the child's communication and social interaction skills through natural daily interactions with parents.

Consultation on the program is recommended for parents of children aged 1 to 6 years. It is the first step in implementing the methodology into the daily life of the family. The MCRN specialist will help you better understand your child's needs and teach effective strategies for developing their communication and social skills.

When is a consultation on Project ImPACT needed?
✔If the child:
-Has a diagnosis or suspicion of autism spectrum disorder;
-Ehibits speech or cognitive developmental delay;
-Has difficulties with daily living, social interaction, or communication;
Shows a reduced interest in communication or playing with others;

✔If parents:
-Want tools to improve interaction with the child;
-Want to learn how to help the child acquire new skills in daily life through play and everyday situations;
-Have questions or difficulties in understanding their child's needs;

1.Introduction: The specialist talks with the parents to understand the child’s needs and your expectations;
2.Child assessment: Light playful communication to determine the current communication and social skills of the child;
3.Discussion of the program and request: The specialist explains how Project ImPACT is implemented in your daily life, shows examples of exercises and interactions, and offers a training plan;
4.Recommendations: Parents receive specific strategies they can apply at home to support the child and agree on further steps with the specialist;

Contraindications:
There are no contraindications for the consultation on the Project ImPACT program. However, its effectiveness depends on the parents' involvement in the process and their readiness to interact with the child according to the specialist's advice.
