ABA Therapy

ABA therapy(Applied Behavior Analysis) is a scientifically-based method of behavior correction used to develop skills, overcome undesirable behaviors, and support the child’s harmonious development. At MCRN, an ABA therapist helps children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other special needs adapt to the world and develop social, speech, and academic skills.

To achieve results in ABA therapy, parents must work closely with the specialist for at least 5-6 months with regular sessions (2-3 times a week).

When is ABA Therapy Needed?
✔Behavioral Issues:
-Aggression, tantrums, or uncontrollable behavior
-Avoidance of social interactions, withdrawal
-Self-harming or dangerous behavior

✔Developmental Disorders:
-Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
-Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
-Speech and language development delays (SLD)

✔Social Difficulties:
-Trouble communicating with peers or adults
-Lack of interest in cooperative play or learning
-Inability to follow rules or instructions

✔Skill Development:
-Teaching basic life and social skills (dressing, eating, cleaning)
-Speech development or introduction of alternative communication methods

How Does the Session Go?
1.Assessment: Initial testing is done to identify the child’s behavioral traits and needs.
2.Planning: An individualized therapy program is developed covering key developmental areas.
3.Session: Exercises are performed to promote desirable behaviors, teach new skills through positive reinforcement, and correct undesirable behaviors by replacing them with acceptable ones.
4.Recommendations: Parents receive detailed advice on working with the child at home.

Contraindications:
-Acute infectious diseases, high fever
-Severe mental health disorders in an exacerbated state requiring medical intervention

Our ABA specialists understand that correcting behavior and introducing alternative communication methods takes time. However, the result is worth it. Collaboration with parents, consistency, and effort greatly improve the child's quality of life and help them learn to communicate.
