Rehabilitation by doctor’s referral at the International Center for Rehabilitation and Neurophysiology under the NHSU medical guarantee program

At the International Center for Rehabilitation and Neurophysiology (MCRN), you can receive free rehabilitation services with a referral from your family doctor or attending physician under the NHSU Medical Guarantees Program.

Thanks to the NHSU healthcare reform, you can independently choose the rehabilitation center where you would like to receive rehabilitation services with a doctor's referral. The main principle of the reform is “the money follows the patient”.

Who can receive rehabilitation at MCRN under the Medical Guarantees Program:
- Infants up to 3 years old;
- Children aged 3 years and older;

How can I receive rehabilitation at MCRN with a referral?
✔ Obtain a referral from your doctor generated in the eHealth electronic system;
✔ Contact us and consult with a coordinator regarding the next steps;

How can I get a referral from my family doctor or pediatrician?
- Schedule an appointment with your doctor;
- Depending on the patient’s age, inform your doctor that you need a rehabilitation referral under the NHSU Medical Guarantees Program package;

When creating the referral, the doctor must specify:
- Service code: A67022
- Category: “Consultation with a Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Physician”

Information for the physician issuing the referral:
All patients referred for medical rehabilitation must be verified in the Electronic Healthcare System (EHCS), as rehabilitation services are provided exclusively on a planned basis.

For children under 18 years of age, verification is carried out through a trusted representative (mother, father, or legal guardian).

✔ When creating the referral, it is mandatory to indicate:
- Medical Guarantees Program

What is verification?
Verification is the process of confirming a patient's identity within the eHealth system. It is performed by sending an SMS with a one-time four-digit code to the phone number specified in the patient's declaration with their doctor. This code must be provided to the doctor to confirm the patient's identity.
